Both sections are scored together through the use of computers, specially appointed college professors, and experienced AP Psychology teachers.  This encompasses a student’s composite score which is then translated to the 1-5 scoring system by statistical and mathematical processes.  Students with a score of 3 or higher will be able to submit their scores to prospective colleges to gain college credit in Psychology and/or advanced placement in future college courses.

In 2018, only 21.1% of all students who participated in the AP Psychology Exam obtained a perfect score of 5.

Who benefits from AP Psychology tutoring?

AP Psychology may be the only Advanced Placement class that does not require distinct class prerequisites, except for the ability to read and write at a proficient level.  Instead, the topics introduced and studied in AP Psychology will be entirely new.  Students will need to take and understand detailed classroom notes in order to perfect their homework assignments, as well as prepare for the standardized AP Psychology Exam.

With all of the new distinctly different topics spanning from cognition and learning to sensation and perception, students can become overwhelmed and stressed when attempting to learn and mentally compartmentalize these various topics.  In this case, students will thrive with the guidance and assistance of a professional

one-on-one AP Psychology tutor from The Glaser Tutoring Company, who will break down and reintroduce individual topics in a manner that is catered to the student’s own unique learning style, resulting in maximal absorption and retention of the Psychology material.

In addition, a skilled in-home or online AP Psychology tutor will thoroughly explain crucial thinking and study skills to the student, all of which are needed to perform well on classroom quizzes and tests.  This ultimately will give students the most comprehensive understanding of classroom material, all the while boosting a student’s confidence in order to perform well on the standardized AP Psychology Exam in May.

Learning principles that we stand by

Each student has a unique learning style

We understand that everyone learns differently.  That's why we tailor our lessons to meet the specific needs of each individual student.

Learn how to think, not what to think

During their academic career, students may fall into the habit of memorizing facts as their primary method of learning.  However, this does not allow students to think for themselves.  Instead, we constantly challenge our students in a way that requires them to think and formulate their own decisions, leading to intellectual growth.

Nothing great is achieved without commitment

Mastery does not happen overnight.  It requires hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to lifelong learning.  We help our students maintain their commitment throughout their academic journey.

Grades are the result, not the goal

We focus on something more important than just getting a certain grade on a transcript or report card.  Our goal is to provide our students with an interdisciplinary understanding that will help them perform better both in and out of the classroom.
